Fried Apples

This versatile side dish goes with just about everything! It is truly comfort food at its best here on the farm. A little bit sweet with a touch of cinnamon, these apples will quickly become a family favorite.

In a saucepan, add:

  • 1 Tbsp. Butter

  • 3 Gala Apples, peeled, cored, and sliced

  • 1/4 cup Granulated Sugar

  • 2 tsp. Ground Cinnamon

  • 1/4 cup Water

  • Pinch of Salt

  • Squeeze of Lemon, if desired

Cook covered over low heat until apples begin to release their juices, about 5 minutes. Turn heat up to a medium high heat. Continue cooking, covered, until apples reach your desired tenderness, checking periodically. Remove lid and allow juices to reduce until they have thickened and are coating your apples. Serve and Enjoy!
