Southern Bluegrass Shrimp Boil

One pot, a few simple ingredients, and a recipe that can easily be scaled up or down to meet your needs.

  1. To a large stock pot add:

    • 8 cups Water

    • 1/4 Large Onion

    • 1/2 Lemon

    • 2 Stalks Celery, cut into thirds

    • 1 Garlic Clove, smashed

    • 2 Tbsp Old Bay Seasoning

    • 1/2 tsp Pepper

  2. Cover and bring to a boil. Once boiling add:

    • 4 small Red Potatoes, halved

    Boil for 15 minutes.

  3. Add:

    • 2 ears Fresh Corn on the Cob, halved

    Boil for 5 minutes.

  4. Add:

    • 1 lb Raw, Shell-On Shrimp, thawed

    Boil for 3 minutes.

  5. Drain well. Place potatoes and corn back in pot and season with butter and salt. Add back in shrimp and squeeze remaining half of lemon over top.

  6. Serve and Enjoy!
