American Goulash

In a large skillet over medium high heat, brown:

  • 1 lb. Ground Beef

  • 1/2 Onion, diced

  • 5 cloves Garlic, diced

  • 3 Bay Leaves

  • 1/2 tsp. Cumin

  • 1-1/2 tsp. Oregano

  • 1 tsp. Basil

  • 1 Tbsp. Dried Parsley

  • 1-1/2 tsp. Paprika

  • 2 pinches Salt

  • Black Pepper to taste

  • 1/2 Green Bell Pepper, chopped

  • 1/2 Yellow Bell Pepper, chopped

Once browned, drain any excess fat. Add to the skillet:

  • 1 Tbsp. Worsterchire Sauce (add more or less to your desired liking)

  • 1-1/2 cups Beef Broth

  • 1 (14.5 oz) can Diced Tomatoes

Place lid on skillet and allow to low boil for 5 minutes. Do a taste test at this point and adjust seasonings as needed. Once seasoning is perfect, add:

  • 1 cup Elbow Macaroni

Stir into your meat mixture well. Reduce heat to medium, place lid on skillet, and cook for 10 minutes (or until your pasta of choice reaches al dente), stirring occasionally. Serve with cheddar cheese and a dash of sour cream for a real treat. Enjoy!
