Cajun Ribeye

A taste of the Bayou brought to the Bluegrass. A complex depth of flavor with a hint of smokiness paired beautifully with the bite of peppers.

In a cast iron skillet, over medium-high heat, heat:

  • 1 Tbsp. Olive Oil

While oil is heating, season:

  • 1 16 oz. Bone in Ribeye Steak

With:

  • 3 tsp. Cajun Seasoning

  • 1 tsp. Salt

  • 1 tsp. Garlic Powder

  • Black Pepper to taste

Using your fingers gently press seasoning into meat. Place season side down into a cast iron skillet. Allow to cook for 3 minutes. Using tongs flip the Steak and cook for an additional 2 minutes. Place Steak on a plate and allow to rest.

Meanwhile, in the same skillet add:

  • 1 Tbsp. Butter

  • ½ Onion, sliced

  • ½ Green Bell Pepper, sliced

  • ¼ Red Bell Pepper, sliced

  • Pinch of Salt

  • Black Pepper to taste

  • 2 cloves Garlic, chopped

Sauté vegetables for 3-5 minutes, or until they begin to take on color and soften. Add:

  • ¼ cup Red Wine

  • Drippings from plate, where Steak has rested

Remove from heat and place atop Steak. Serve and Enjoy!
