Meringue

What is it about this fluffy white cloud that makes a dessert magical? Don’t be intimidated. With these few tips, you’ll be making delicious meringues in a blink of an eye! Be sure to watch the video for a step by step demonstration.

Meringue

In a stand mixer or mixing bowl with the whisk attachment, add:

Egg Whites (room temperature)

You will use the same number of egg whites as egg yolks used in your pudding or pie recipe. Turn mixer on high and whisk until frothy. Begin adding:

1 Tbsp. Sugar at a time,

Whisking well in between additions. You will use 2 Tbsp. sugar total per egg white (ie. 3 egg whites will use 6 tablespoons of sugar). Add:

1 tsp. Vanilla Extract

1 pinch Cream of Tartar (if desired)

Continue whisking until desired thickness is reached. Place this atop your favorite dessert and bake at 425 degrees for 5-7 minutes. Enjoy!
