Spaghetti & Meat Sauce
This version of Spaghetti & Meat sauce is quick and easy yet tastes like it's been simmering for hours.
Servings: 2-3 Cook Time: 30 mins
To a skillet over medium high heat, add:
½ lb. Ground Beef
½ Onion, diced
½ Green Bell Pepper, diced
2 cloves Garlic, chopped
Pinch of Salt
Black Pepper to taste
½ tsp. dried Basil
½ tsp dried Oregano
2 tsp dried Parsley
Saute until meat is browned and vegetables are tender. Drain any excess fat if needed.
Return the skillet to medium heat, add:
¼ cup Red Wine
Deglaze pan well, then add:
14 oz. can San Marzano Tomatoes
Pinch of Salt
1 cup Mushrooms, sliced (if desired)
Allow to simmer uncovered for 5 minutes, or until the sauce has thickened and mushrooms have softened. Adjust seasonings to taste.
Reduce heat to low, add:
8 oz. al dente Spaghetti
2 Tbsp. pasta water
Gently stir to combine. Top with fresh Parsley and Parmesan cheese. Serve and Enjoy!
