Dinner Roll
These rolls are soft and fluffy with a slightly sweet, buttery flavor and a golden, crisp exterior. Perfectly light and melt-in-your-mouth delicious!
Rolls: 8-10
Cook Time: 4 hours
For starter, heat over medium heat:
⅓ cup Milk
2 Tbsp. Bread Flour
Cook, stirring constantly, until a thick, mashed potato consistency is achieved. Set aside and cool completely.
In a mixing bowl, add:
2 ½ cup Bread Flour
1 tsp. Salt
¼ cup Sugar
1 Tbsp. Dry Active Yeast
⅓ cup melted Butter
½ cup Milk
1 Egg
Cooled Starter
Mix at medium speed for 10 minutes with a bread hook. Place dough in an oiled bowl, flip to coat all sides. Cover and let rise for 2 hours or until doubled in size. Turn out on a board, punch down, and divide into 8-10 pieces. Form into balls. Place in a greased pan, cover, and let rise for 1 hour. Coat with Egg Wash. Bake at 350℉ for 25-30 minutes.
