Dressing

This is a classic dressing. You can dress it up any way you would like but I can promise I have never had a single crumb left over just the way it is.

Classic Dressing

In a large bowl, gently combine until no liquid remains in the bottom of the bowl:

  • 1 (12oz) pkg Pepperidge Farm Classic Stuffing

  • 1-1/2 cup Low Sodium Chicken Broth

While the bread mixture is resting, in a skillet, add:

  • 5 Tbsp. Butter

  • 2 stalks Celery, diced

  • 1 cup Onion, diced

  • Salt & Pepper to taste

Sauté until vegetables begin to soften and take on color, about 5 minutes. Once done, transfer contents of skillet into the bread mixture. Gently combine until the ingredients are well incorporated. Add up to an additional 1/2 cup of chicken broth, if needed, to obtain a moist but not soggy dressing. Season with additional salt and pepper to taste.

Spoon contents into a 9x9” casserole dish being careful to not pack it down. You want to keep the dressing as fluffy as possible. Cover tightly with aluminum foil. Place in a preheated 350 degree oven for 30 minutes. Remove foil and bake an additional 10-15 minutes, or until the top of dressing begins to crisp. Enjoy!
