Scalloped Potatoes

Soft, tender potatoes covered in a homemade cheese sauce and topped with a crispy topping. What’s not to love?

Scalloped Potatoes

Boil in lightly salted water until tender:

  • 6 medium Red Potatoes, sliced

Once tender, drain well and place into a buttered 2 quart casserole dish.

To make the cheese sauce, combine in saucepan:

  • 3 Tbsp. Butter, melted

  • 2 Tbsp. All Purpose Flour

  • 1 cup Milk

Stir over medium heat until thickened. Remove from heat and add:

  • 4 oz. Cheddar Cheese

Stir until melted. Pour over potatoes and cover dish tightly with aluminum foil. Place in a 350 degree oven for 15 minutes. Remove foil and top with:

  • Ritz Crackers or Crispy Fried Onions

Return to oven, uncovered, for an additional 15 minutes or until the top is nicely browned. Enjoy!
